Laboratories world wide are continually embracing Molecular Real-Time PCR diagnostic testing for the majority of their daily processing methodologies. With this shift in testing methods also brings with it additional workloads, and requirements for the laboratory technicians. Real-Time PCR testing requires the validation of specific panels using precise mixtures. Not only are these mixtures time consuming to create, they also require specialized laboratory technicians that must be trained and certified in the creation of these testing plates and the validation of the individualized panels.
Why off the shelf kits
AMCAR Scientifics ready-to-use, off-the-shelf Molecular Testing Kits include pre-spotted multi and single-target reaction mixtures contain all primers, probes, and reagents including negative and positive extraction and pathogen controls. With a wide variety of pre-configured panels, these kits are available in 96 and 384-well reaction plates. Our kits come complete with quality control study certifications, options and instructions for customers performing new Lab Determined Testing validation studies, and dedicated support staff which is available to answer your molecular related questions.

Antibiotic Resistance Testing
Nearly fifty percent (50%) of all antibiotic treatment regimens are prescribed without the proper pathogen diagnosis. This means that resistant antibiotics are use to treat nearly half of all infections in patients. This misuse is an ongoing public health problem as patients who are prescribed incorrect medications could be causing additional harm to themselves through co-infections, reinfections, and even worsening systems. While treating the patient is the ultimate goal, we believe that better patient care starts with accurate diagnosing.
AMCAR Scientific offers Antibiotic Resistance testing kits which can be used in tandem with pathogen diagnostic kits to determine the resistance and susceptibility of various pathogens to antibiotic regiments. These kits allow laboratories to provide the most accurate information to an ordering physician so that when the results are in the doctors can prescribe the correct antibiotics for the precise infection or pathogen discovered.
